Netflix has joined the ranks of other giant tech companies with their own font, and unveiled Netflix Sans on Wednesday. There was a time when Benji was the most beloved dog in America, and possibly the whole world. He was a scrappy, whip-smart little canine, and he had a tendency to find himself in one death-defying situation after another.
To catch you up on the motion picture franchise, here are all of the "Benji" films in reverse order of quality, from completely unwatchable to totally paw-some. Chevy Chase is a private detective who gets killed, but comes back to solve his own murder in the body of Benji, a dog who was just about to die in a car accident anyway.
If this sounds like a fun idea for a movie, get your human ears checked. Watching Benji outsmart and outrun him is a howl and a half, and easily worth the price of admission.Indirizzi dei divi
The latest Benji movie might not be as pulse-pounding as the original, but it finds an exceptional balance between suspense, sentimentality and high-quality filmmaking. Benji is once again a stray dog trying to rescue kidnapped children, but this time there are clever new twists and richer, more likable human characters. Already a member? View In Gallery. Netflix Sans is not a binge-worthy show, it's an original typeface that will replace the Gotham font you're used to seeing. According to It's Nice ThatNetflix created the typeface for one logical reason: Licensing fonts isn't cheap. I'm happy to see Netflix Sans in UI, but sure hope it doesn't go deeper, into actual show branding. For me it came off as netflix either changing the branding or wanting to show off the font in a creative way. One thing that annoys me on Netflix I wouldn't mind a Netflix label in the UI, but watermarking every covers feels gross, it dilutes the personality of each show.
I actually appreciate the instantly visible branding; Netflix shows are among the few guaranteed to have proper subtitles. I see you have not watched La Casa de Papel or, as they have recently creatively rebranded it in English, "Money Heist".
Yeah, it wasn't produced by Netflix, but they stick their branding on it and have numerous errors in the subtitles. Netflix productions have errors and missing lines, but they're at least always available.

Second, licensing the Gotham typeface has gotten expensive, according to Netflix brand design lead Noah Nathan. It's not clear when we'll see this typeface roll out across Netflix's services, but eagle-eyed viewers will probably notice the change when it occurs. As a Designer I spend a lot of time working with fonts. Because fonts have a huge role to play in branding, the right choice has to take careful consideration and I have had times where I have gone through several choices before hitting on the right combination.
That is precisely what the marketing team at the online entertainment streaming company Netflix did. They developed their bespoke font and even named it Netflix Sans.
When there is no serif on a font, it is considers sans serif no serif. The inspiration behind Netflix Sans was multi-leveled.
